If you wish to use a secure connection with your incoming POP or IMAP or outgoing SMTP server then you will need to set your mail client to use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer).
The ports SSL uses for the incoming servers are:
- 995 for POP3
- 993 for IMAP
The port SSL uses for the outgoing server is:
- 465 for SMTP
